The Dupe Command is a way of duplicating your main item, for an example, you have 2x Diamonds in your main slot and use /dupe, it will be doubled and you will now have 4x Diamonds in your main slot. The Dupe Command has also a Times feature that will double your item and double it again for what number you have chosen, for an example, you have 2x Diamonds in your main slot and you use /dupe 5 you will get 64x Diamonds as 2^5+1 = 64.
